This phone number serves just like the regular 411 telephone information phone number. You call this number and tell the operator what social service you need (i.e., food, clothing, furniture, drug treatment, shelter/housing, etc.) and the operator will provide you with a list of agencies and phone numbers that provide the requested services in the requested city. You can also go online to access these services http://www.nj211.org and print out the list of agencies provided.
NJ HELPS Services – http://njhelps.org (established by the state of New Jersey) is designed to give consumers a “one-stop” shopping resource for the wide range of programs, information and services provided by the Department of Human Services and its partners, to assist individuals, families and communities in and throughout the state of New Jersey. This website is designed to allow you, the clients, (by putting in their income, housing and other requested data) to prescreen and obtain a read out of all state benefits programs you may qualify for. This includes all of the 28 Medicaid programs operated by the State of New Jersey.
Consumer Safety Guide – https://www.consumersafetyguide.com/ The American public relies on manufacturers and governmental agencies to ensure that products sold in the U.S. are safe when used as directed. We have information about some of the latest safety issues involving drugs, medical devices, food and other products. Thousands of people are injured every year because of dangerous drugs and defective medical devices. Drugs and devices that were given to patients by their health care providers and used according to instructions still caused serious harm.
